1. CHANGE OF DETAILS WITHIN General Contract/ BILL OF LADING:

Any change in this General Contrac or Bill of Lading, quantity of items on your Inventory or Cube sheet, unplanned stops or a change of
address provided by the client to Sound Moving Northwest (SMNW) may affect your final price.

2. CHANGE OF DATE FOR LOCAL MOVES:

***If client cancels 14 days out or longer from move date…

Deposit returned in full - if we cannot accommodate a new date or your circumstances change in any manner that you cannot or choose to not use our services. If you change your date and we can accommodate, we apply the entire deposit towards the new move date.

***If client cancels 13 days or sooner from move date…

Entire Deposit NON REFUNDABLE – if we cannot accommodate a new date or your circumstances change in any manner that you cannot or choose to not use our services.
If you change your date and we can accommodate, we apply $100.00 towards your new date and SMNW retains the additional $100.00.
If SMNW is able to rebook your cancelled date, we will refund the remaining $100.00 cancellation fee above.

3. CHANGE OF DATE FOR LONG DISTANCE MOVES:

***If client cancels 14 days out or longer from move date…

$600.00 of the Deposit returned- if we cannot accommodate a new date or your circumstances change in any manner that you cannot or choose to not use our services. If you change your date and we can accommodate, we apply the entire deposit towards the new move date.

***If client cancels 13 days or sooner from move date…

Entire Deposit NON REFUNDABLE -if we cannot accommodate a new date or your circumstances change in any manner that you cannot or choose to not use our services. If you change your date and we can accommodate, we apply $ 750.00 towards their new date and SMNW retains the additional $ 250.00. If SMNW is able to rebook your cancelled date, we will refund the remaining $ 250.00 cancellation fee above.

4. CANCELLATION BY SMNW:

If SMNW cancels your service, we will refund the full deposit to you within 3 business days, provided, however, that we reserve the right to cancel any service without providing any refund of your deposit, and the right to bill you for time and services already incurred by SMNW, under the following circumstances:

• You are engaged in illegal or dangerous activity, in the opinion of SMNW.
• The moving services involve an unsanitary environment involving rodents or other pests, foul odors, etc., and other situations and environments that SMNW believes would jeopardize the health of its crew.
• You are intoxicated or otherwise impaired, in a way that may risk your safety or the safety of SMNW’s crew in the opinion of SMNW.
• You engage in any kind of discrimination or abusive behavior towards our crew, that includes physical abuse, sexual harassment, verbal abuse, racist comments, sexist comments, and any other discriminatory or abusive behavior.

DAMAGE & CLAIM EXCEPTIONS

1.SMNW shall NOT be responsible for loss or damage arising or resulting from ALL goods packed by customer or another company.

For example, poorly packed boxes, depressed boxes, boxes that are too heavy and break the bottom, items in bags etc.

Unless SMNW are a direct cause of said loss or damage.

2. SMNW shall NOT be responsible for loss or damage arising or resulting from transportation of mechanical vehicles including but not limited to automobiles, motorcycles, scooters, boats, airplanes, ATVs, go-carts, riding lawnmowers, tractors, and other similar vehicles. These items are transported at the sole risk of the customer and all coverage for those items is waived against the carrier, its agents or representatives.

3. SMNW shall NOT be responsible for loss or damage arising or resulting from transportation of any items directed by customer to be moved through impassible passageways or other impassible openings. Additionally, SMNW is not liable or negligent for any damage to the interior or exterior of any residence or business including, but not limited to walls, floors, ceilings, stairs, banisters, carpets, plumbing, driveways, yards etc. as a result of customers request for moving of said items, after SMNW staff have advised customer of possible risk.

4. SMNW shall NOT be responsible for loss or damage arising or resulting from any modifications made to furniture or the structure of customers home or business, including, but not limited to, doorways, door removal, banisters, furniture pieces, exercise equipment, knobs, handles etc. as a result of Customer's approval of such modifications.

I understand that my signature below signifies that I have read, understand, and accept all of the terms stated above.
I agree to the estimate provided to me by Sound Moving NW.
